Custom In-Ear Monitors

Your Sound,Shaped to You

A custom in-ear monitor is not a louder universal. It is a monitor built around the shape of your ear, tuned to your preference, and finished by hand in our Singapore workshop. The process starts with a pair of ear impressions and ends with a sound that fits no one else.

How It Works

Five steps from order to first listen

The path to a custom monitor is simpler than it sounds. Most of the work happens in our workshop, and we guide you through the parts that need your attention.

01

Place Your Order

Choose your model on our website. Every AAW custom IEM starts with one of our acoustic platforms: from the entry-level A3H+ Lux to the flagship Canary Pro. Add your faceplate design, cable choice, and any personal engraving during checkout.

02

Get Your Ear Impressions Taken

Visit a certified audiologist for silicone ear impressions. The impression needs to capture the full shape of your ear canal and concha, including the second bend. Use the AAW ear impression guide as the checklist for your appointment. It shows the required open-mouth technique, second-bend canal depth, full concha coverage, and common rejection issues. At our Singapore showroom, we offer the service at S$50.

03

Send the Impressions to Us

Ship your impressions with your order confirmation in a crush-resistant box with padding around each impression. If your audiologist offers 3D scanning, send STL or HPS files to support@aaw.me and keep the physical impressions until we confirm the files are accepted. eSeries, Otoscan, 3Shape, and equivalent professional scans are usually workable; email us first if you are unsure. We confirm receipt within one business day.

04

Manufacturing Begins

Once your impressions arrive, our lab team 3D-scans them, models your shell geometry, and begins the build. Drivers are installed and crossed over by hand. The faceplate is finished to your specification. Each pair is measured and listened to before it leaves the bench.

05

We Ship Your CIEMs to You

Your completed monitors ship with a carry case, cleaning tool, cable, and documentation. We email you at each milestone: order receipt, impression or scan received, build started, QC complete, and shipped. Typical delivery windows are SEA 2–4 business days, AU/NZ 3-5, North America and Europe 5-7, and rest of world 7-14.

Ear Impressions

The foundation of a perfect fit

An ear impression is a silicone cast of your ear canal and outer ear. It captures the unique shape that no universal tip can fully match. When done well, the resulting monitor sits flush, seals without pressure, and stays put through long sessions.

We strongly recommend visiting a professionally certified audiologist for this step. A good impression goes past the second bend of the ear canal and includes the full concha and helix area. An incomplete impression leads to a loose fit, and a remake takes time.

Showroom service available

If you are in Singapore, we offer ear impression taking at our showroom for S$50. The process takes about 10–20 minutes. Please have your ears cleared before coming for the best result.

If you need help locating an audiologist near you, email us at support@aaw.me and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.

Send Your Impressions

Physical or digital, we receive both

Once your ear impressions are done, ship them with your order confirmation and adequate protection. Use a crush-resistant small box, keep left and right clearly labeled, and pad each impression so it cannot press against the other. We scan them into our digital workflow the day they arrive and confirm receipt by email.

Digital scan option

If your audiologist can scan your ear impressions, send the STL or HPS files directly to support@aaw.me. Digital files skip the physical shipping step and can reduce turnaround time by several days. STL and HPS are accepted; common professional systems such as eSeries, Otoscan, and 3Shape are usually compatible. If your scanner brand is not listed, email us before the appointment.

The Craft

Each shell is finished by hand

After we receive your impressions, the real work begins. 3D scanning, shell modeling, driver installation, crossover tuning, faceplate finishing, and acoustic measurement. Every step happens under one roof in Singapore, and every pair is listened to before it ships.
