The physical toggle selects Blue or Red without tools, apps, or recessed slots.
TwinCore
Same monitor, two listening moods
A physical two-position crossover switch that changes how the dynamic woofer and balanced-armature paths are loaded, so Blue and Red shift the whole voicing rather than adding a simple bass boost.
Inside Z05 AuAg, TwinCore routes the monitor through two crossover voicings. The switch changes the electrical load seen by the low-frequency and high-frequency paths, shifting how much body the dynamic driver carries and how far the armatures step forward.
That is why the change is broad: bass pressure, vocal edge, cymbal air, and center image all move together. Many IEM switches behave like small trim controls; TwinCore feels closer to choosing between two crossover paths inside the same shell.

The low-frequency and high-frequency paths see different loading, changing the driver handoff.
The dynamic woofer and armatures shift together, so the whole response changes as one voicing.
Weight / Flow
A fuller low end, calmer upper harmonics, and a center image that feels easier to sit with for long albums.
Focus / Spark
Tighter bass outlines, more forward clarity, and extra cymbal air when you want the mix to open up.
Overview
A compact hybrid for people who rotate music
Some IEMs are tuned for one perfect demo track. Z05 AuAg is built for the way most of us listen: albums, playlists, dongles, DAPs, desk chains, and a mood that changes by the hour.
What it is
A compact universal hybrid you can live with daily: easy to carry, easy to drive, and serious enough for focused listening.
Why AuAg
The gold/silver finish gives the launch pair a bit of ceremony without turning it into a display-only object.
What you get
A monitor, cable, 3.5mm, 4.4mm balanced, and Type-C terminations, a carry case, and LiquidMorph tips, all ready to go.
For the listener who changes albums before they change gear
Run it from a phone dongle on the way out, then plug into a balanced player or desktop chain at home. The point is simple: keep the Z05 character with fewer little compromises.
No custom mold needed with LiquidMorph tips for a seal you can repeat.
Dynamic-driver body with armature speed and air layered on top.
3.5mm, 4.4mm balanced, and Type-C terminations in the box.
Forged-carbon faceplates with Au/Ag foil; 3D-printed shells finished by hand with matching foil lacing.
Design Journey
Tuned by Founder
Those who listen will find the way.
The Z05 AuAg project began with a simple brief: make a universal AAW monitor that people would keep reaching for after the first demo. Kevin Wang approached it less as a smaller flagship and more as a daily companion: compact in the ear, quick to connect, and ready for the next album before the listener starts thinking about changing gear.
Early prototypes moved in different directions. Some sounded too polite, some too sharpened, and some asked the listener to adapt instead of letting the earphone follow the session. The design settled when the physical switch became part of the listening ritual: one position for sinking into the record, one for bringing the mix closer.
That path shaped the launch edition. AuAg gives the first pair a sense of ceremony with gold and silver hand finishing, but the design brief stays practical: a monitor that travels easily, changes mood without changing cables or sources, and still feels considered after the novelty fades.
“I wanted Z05 AuAg to feel like the pair you leave on the desk because you know it will work with the next album. The switch is there because listening is not fixed; some nights need weight, some tracks need edges. The design had to respect that without making the product feel complicated.”

Listening Notes
What you notice when it is in hand
A few close looks at the parts that change daily listening: the AuAg faceplates, the physical TwinCore switch, the cable system, and the tips that keep the seal honest.

Fitment
A universal fit that still feels settled
The best tuning falls apart if the shell keeps shifting. Z05 AuAg keeps the body compact, routes the cable over-ear, and lets the tip do the sealing work.

Cable stays put
Less tug at the shell when you move, sit, or swap sources.
No custom mold needed
A small universal body that sits naturally instead of trying to fill the whole ear.
LiquidMorph tips
LiquidMorph tips help lock in bass pressure and center image.
Craft & Sound
Made to be worn, then looked at twice
The shell has to disappear before the finish gets to show off. Z05 AuAg starts with a compact universal fit, repeatable seal, and a driver layout that can stay convincing across long sessions.
The forged-carbon look is on the faceplates. The body is a 3D-printed shell, then each pair is dressed by hand with gold and silver foil work. It takes hours because the finish has to feel intentional, not sprinkled on.

Signal Chain Ready
One cable, the sources most of us actually use
No one wants to buy a new cable on day one. Z05 AuAg ships with the paths that cover the usual rotation: phone, dongle, DAP, and desktop stack.

3.5mm + Type-C
Quick analog or digital listening when the phone or laptop is the source.
4.4mm ready
For DAPs and compact DAC/amps when you want the balanced output.
2-pin detachable
A familiar monitor-side connection for long-term cable flexibility.
Seal & Comfort
The tip is part of the tuning
With a dynamic woofer, seal is not a footnote. When the tip sits right, bass weight, vocal center, and left-right balance stop changing every time you move.

Advanced AcousticWerkes, known as AAW, is a Singapore-based in-ear monitor specialist founded in 2014 by Kevin Wang. From its early custom IEM work to hybrid, electrostatic, planar, isobaric, and modular-fit designs, AAW has built its reputation around one principle: sound is engineered by listening. Every monitor brings together acoustic design, driver integration, ergonomic fit, digital modeling, and hand finishing to create an IEM that feels as considered as it sounds.
Z05 AuAg continues that lineage in a compact universal form: dynamic-driver body, balanced-armature detail, Bass-Flow pressure control, TwinCore two-mode voicing, and source-ready cabling for the way people actually listen today.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Z05 AuAg
A few notes before you hit play. The short version for anyone deciding whether this belongs in the daily rotation.
What does AuAg mean?
Au is gold, Ag is silver. On this launch edition, the identity is split left and right with gold and silver accents over the hand-finished shell work, while forged-carbon faceplates carry the visual identity.
Is this only a cosmetic edition?
No. The finish gets attention first, but the reason to stay is the Z05 platform: dynamic bass, balanced armature clarity, Bass-Flow pressure control, and TwinCore voicing.
What does the TwinCore switch change?
TwinCore is a physical two-position acoustic voicing switch on each earpiece. It toggles between Blue mode for warmer, fuller bass and Red mode for brighter, more detailed treble with tighter bass outlines and more cymbal air.
What is the difference between Blue mode and Red mode?
Blue mode gives Z05 AuAg a fuller low end, calmer upper harmonics, and an easier long-session center image. Red mode tightens bass outlines, brings clarity forward, and adds cymbal air when you want the mix to open up.
Is Z05 AuAg suitable for live performers or only casual listening?
Z05 AuAg can serve both use cases. It is a compact universal hybrid IEM with dynamic-driver weight, balanced-armature clarity, and repeatable isolation from LiquidMorph ear tips. Live performance suitability still depends on fit, isolation needs, and personal monitoring level.
Is Z05 AuAg easy to drive from a phone dongle?
Yes. Z05 AuAg is intended to work across phone dongles, DAPs, compact DAC/amps, and desktop sources. A low-output-impedance source below 1 Ohm and low or medium gain are recommended for best noise control.
Is Z05 AuAg suitable for small ears?
Z05 AuAg uses a compact universal shell rather than a custom mold. The smaller body and LiquidMorph ear tips are designed to help more listeners get a stable seal, but fit still depends on individual ear shape and tip size.
What is included in the box?
The kit includes the Z05 AuAg monitors, a 2-pin detachable cable, 3.5mm stereo, 4.4mm balanced, and USB Type-C terminations, a carrying case, and LiquidMorph ear tips.
Where can I demo AAW Z05 AuAg in Singapore?

How does Z05 AuAg compare with custom IEMs?
Z05 AuAg is a universal-fit IEM, so it does not require ear impressions or a custom shell. Custom IEMs can offer a personalized fit, while Z05 AuAg focuses on compact universal fit, fast source flexibility, included terminations, and the physical TwinCore voicing switch.
Does Z05 AuAg come with a warranty?
Yes. Z05 AuAg includes a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal use. For warranty support, contact AAW Singapore or the authorized dealer where you purchased it.
